Halloween Weekend

On Saturday we took Ellie to Haunted Hillcrest which is a street that goes all out on Halloween and they also collect canned goods for the Dare to Care food bank. We went during the day and were hoping that Ellie wouldn't be scared by the creepy decor. She was only slightly scared by a piece of one display. She is going to love Halloween like her parents.

On Halloween night we ate dinner with Grammy and Grumpaw and Dani and went trick or treating around the neighborhood. Ellie had so much fun she started to give hugs to complete strangers.

Party Time

Ellie had a weekend filled with parties. On Saturday we went to visit Dani at VIPS for their annual Halloween party and Trunk & Treat. She played with the other kids, ate some food, got lots of goodies and decorated cookies with Grammy.

On Sunday we went to Irvington, KY for her friend Ruby's 4th birthday party. Ruby had a rainbow unicorn cake and a bouncy castle to play in. Lots of fun!!!

Halloween Party at the Zoo

Today Danielle brought over some tickets for a Halloween party at the Louisville Zoo. We decided to dress Ellie in her costume and brave the cold drizzly weather. Our gamble paid off...we had a fantastic time.

Baby #2

Went to the doctor last week to get an ultrasound done to see how baby #2 is doing. I am happy to report that SHE is doing just fine! That's right, baby 2 is a girl. Ronnie and I are thrilled. We can't wait to welcome her into our family.

Fall Fun

Today was a fun day. First, Ellie and I took her  aunt Danielle to breakfast then we went to a few yard sales together. That was so much fun that it wore Ellie right out...

Then we dropped Danielle off and picked up her daddy and headed to Henry's Ark in Prospect. It is a petting zoo that is free to the public (though they do accept donations to help care for the animals). They have tons of animals too. We saw zebras, a moose, giant pigs, goats, sheep, and tons more. Pretty much on par with the state fair, Ellie's favorite animal seemed to be the goats.

After Henry's Ark we drove up the road to a candy store that I read about on the internet. Ellie had a blast in there. There was lots to see and even toys for the kids to play with. We ended up with a few varieties of candy and a toy for Ellie.

After that we headed over to the park to enjoy the rest of the beautiful day. What a fantastic fall day with the family.
